Three presiding officers found drunk in Khargone…

Voting is to be held on eight lok sabha seats of Malwa-Nimar in the fourth phase of lok sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh. Khargone district collector has suspended three employees who came to collect voting material after drinking alcohol. According to the information, voting will be held in Khargone district on May 13 under the lok sabha elections 2024. For this, distribution of voting material has been started from PG college Khargone from sunday morning. During the distribution of voting material, three government employees reached there after consuming alcohol.

As soon as the election commission officials who were giving the voting material came to know that he had come under the influence of alcohol. collector and district election Officer Karmaveer Sharma have suspended him with immediate effect for coming to collect the voting material instead of giving it to him. Anar Singh Kirade, a primary teacher of Kasrawad assembly constituency, and Bihari Jadhav were put on duty in the polling team of Khargone assembly constituency. Similarly, primary teacher Kamal Chauhan was put on duty at Katkoot Maidan center of Barwah assembly constituency. These three employees had come to collect voting material after drinking alcohol. These three employees have been suspended with immediate effect.

According to the information of Khargone SDM bhaskar Gachle, two other employees have been sent for medical examination on suspicion of being drunk. He told that it has been announced that whoever will be found consuming alcohol during election work. He will be suspended with immediate effect.
