Delhi assembly delegation visits Odisha!

The assembly delegation led by delhi assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta is on a three-day visit to Odisha. During this, the delegation met odisha governor hari Babu Kambhampati, assembly Speaker Surma Padhi and chief minister Mohan Charan Manjhi on tuesday (April 15). This visit of the assembly delegation has been made mainly to implement the e-Vidhan system and to make the assembly paperless and solar powered.

This delegation includes senior officials associated with the delhi assembly and the e-Vidhan project, including assembly Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht. In a conversation with the odisha assembly Speaker, there was a detailed discussion on implementing paperless legislative proceedings in Delhi. Padhi said that the odisha assembly has recently implemented the e-Vidhan system and is ready to share its experience with Delhi.

electricity worth Rs 15 lakh will be saved

The delhi assembly Speaker met the governor and said that soon the assembly complex will produce 550 kilowatts of solar energy, which will save electricity worth about Rs 15 lakh every month. The governor called it an important step towards the balanced use of environment and technology and said that the raj bhavan will also work in this direction. The main purpose of this visit is to understand the model of making Delhi's assembly paperless.

He said that complete information about the attendance and proceedings of the members is now available on a dashboard and this has completely eliminated the need for paper. During the visit, the delhi delegation will study the e-Vidhan model implemented in odisha and will explore the possibilities of adopting the experiences there in Delhi. Along with this, it will also be implemented in Delhi.
