Along with travelling at high speed, Namo Bharat train is now making it easier for you to reach the station and go further from there. For this, NCRTC in collaboration with DTC has connected electric AC buses to Namo Bharat stations in Delhi. Initially, 3 routes covering stations like New Ashok nagar and anand vihar have been decided. The special thing is that buses of one route are running from New Ashok nagar station itself.
These buses stop at the drop-off lane of Namo Bharat stations while moving on their way, from where the train passengers can get down and board the bus and reach their destination easily. These routes include New Ashok nagar to anand vihar ISBT, anand vihar ISBT to Ashok nagar Border and Ashok nagar Border to Mayur vihar Phase-3. These buses are running according to their time-table from 6:30 am to 11 pm.
Which areas will benefit? Focus on environment and convenience
With this facility, people of areas like Chilla Village, Sapera Basti, New Kondli, Dallupura, Ghazipur Village, Dharamshila Crossing, Trilokpuri are directly connected to Namo Bharat trains. Now it has become easier than ever for them to reach ghaziabad or meerut quickly.
The aim of NCRTC is to provide fast and eco-friendly options for commuting to the station. Today, when pollution remains a big problem, this step is very important. services like e-rickshaw and Rapido are already running at some stations in Ghaziabad. Now these buses started under the DEVI (Delhi Electric Vehicle Interchange) scheme in delhi have been connected to Namo Bharat stations, which is another great step.
Promoting public transport
NCRTC and DTC together are encouraging people to use public transport. This last-mile connectivity will help in leaving private vehicles and getting relief from traffic jams and pollution. This will not only reduce the crowd on the roads, but the air will also remain clean.
