Leader of Opposition in lok sabha and congress MP rahul gandhi reached Darbhanga, bihar on thursday (May 15, 2025). He wanted to address the students in a program at Ambedkar hostel but the administration tried to stop him from doing so. Despite not having permission, he forcibly reached on foot. Here, while addressing the students and workers, he said that no power can stop him.
On this occasion, congress MP rahul gandhi said that we told narendra modi in parliament that you will have to conduct caste census. We said that you will have to wear the constitution on your forehead. narendra modi has announced to conduct caste census out of fear. But he is against democracy. Against the Constitution. Against caste census. This is the government of Adani-Ambani. Not your government.
Earlier, rahul gandhi said that the administration tried to stop me, but I came here from the back door. Look, Dalits, backward classes, extremely backward classes, tribal classes, there is oppression against you 24 hours a day in this country. You are suppressed. You are stopped in the education system. Papers are leaked against you.
He further said, "We have made three demands. First of all, caste census should be done in the right way, which we have done in Telangana. Secondly, it is the law of india that there should be reservation in private colleges and universities. Neither narendra modi nor the bihar government is implementing that law. Therefore, we will put pressure on them. Just like I have come here… they could not stop me, similarly they will not be able to stop me."While addressing at Ambedkar hostel, rahul gandhi said that you are 90 percent. Understand your strength. You are stopped by misleading, suppressing, intimidating, moving you here and there. There is no place for you in this country.
Regarding his third demand, he said, "The plan for SC-ST, the money which is yours, which is not given to you, should be given to you. I came to tell you these three things. You understand one thing, bihar police tried to stop me but could not. They could not stop me because your power is behind me. That is why no power in the world can stop me."
