This matter took a big form on thursday (May 15) from a minor dispute over buying vegetables in Teej Ka Chowk area. The altercation that started between two youths turned into a violent clash between two communities. During this, sword fight, stone pelting and arson took place, in which two people were seriously injured. Seeing the situation deteriorating, the police took charge and heavy security force has been deployed in the area.
As soon as the information about the clash was received, police from four police stations including Dhanmandi police station area reached the spot. The situation was brought under control after a lot of hard work under the leadership of the SP throughout the night. After the violence, there was vandalism at many places and carts were set on fire. In view of the tension, there is a cantonment-like atmosphere in the entire area and constant monitoring is being done.
