
In punjab, cm Bhagwant Singh Mann on thursday felicitated students studying in government schools in chandigarh who set a unique example for the youth by passing the JEE Advanced exam. After felicitating such students, the chief minister said that the students of punjab have a great passion to succeed.

The punjab cm further said, "Punjab is on its way to becoming a technology hub. The day is not far when high-level technology companies will line up to recruit the youth of Punjab. This change will help establish punjab as a hub of innovation, technological progress and economic development."
The chief minister said that new medical colleges and hospitals are being set up to impart quality education to medical students. He announced that eight UPSC coaching centres are being set up across punjab to train students for competitive exams. Bhagwant Singh Mann further said that each centre will have a library, hostel and other necessary facilities to impart quality coaching.
cm exhorts students to become grassrooters
The chief minister stressed that these centres will help the youth of punjab to achieve leading ranks in national level exams. Encouraging the students to stay grounded, Bhagwant Singh Mann urged them to become "grassrooters" instead of "parachuters" and said that those who rise from the ground are better equipped to conquer challenges and reach great heights. He said that parachuters come from the sky but eventually fall to the ground and on the other hand "grassrooters" rise from the ground and touch the sky.
education minister Harjot Singh Bains congratulated the students who cleared the exam despite facing significant challenges. He also said that earlier 260 students from government schools had cleared the JEE Mains exam, which highlights the consistently successful results of the government's educational initiatives.
