delhi Pradesh congress Committee President Devendra Yadav has raised questions about the arrangements in hospitals amid the record-breaking scorching heat. He has accused the bjp government that while the number of patients in hospitals is constantly increasing due to the heat, the delhi government is proving to be completely unsuccessful in providing proper facilities to the sick people in the hospitals. He says that despite the announcement of a comprehensive plan to deal with the heat wave, while the patients are getting more affected by their illness in 45 degree temperature, the helpers who bring them to the hospital do not even have the facility to sit in the hospital.

Congress's allegation on BJP

Devendra Yadav said that the hospitals of BJP's triple engine government in delhi lack health services as well as basic facilities and chief minister Rekha Gupta is boasting of better facilities in the government hospitals. congress delhi President alleges that the attendants of the patients in the hospitals are forced to sit in the open. Along with this, he also said that there is no fan in the hospital for the patients to wait and due to the crowd, the people are not even allowed to sit inside. Somewhere the family members are forced to sit under the trees and somewhere they are forced to stand under the tin shed in the scorching heat, they are forced to stand in the heat of the tin shed to avoid the sun. He said that the cases affected by the heat coming to the government hospitals are rickshaw pullers, labourers, people who earn their livelihood on the streets, hawkers, who have complaints of stomach ache, vomiting, lack of water and dizziness etc.

Allegations were made regarding the shortcomings in the hospitals of Delhi

Devendra Yadav said that there is a lot of mismanagement in the hospitals, there are no fans, there is not enough facility for the patients, there is no drinking water facility, some hospitals have water coolers but there is no water. Even the lift is not working, due to which the patients and their family members are facing a lot of trouble. The elderly, women, children are facing more trouble.

Divendra Yadav said that according to a report, 7-10 percent of the patients in the OPD of Hedgewar Arogya Hospital in Karkardooma are suffering from heat-related diseases. Despite the critical condition of the patients, the doctors are telling them that there is no need to admit them. The same is the condition of GTB Hospital and Swami Dayanand Hospital where basic facilities and other arrangements are missing in the heat.
