The video also captured workers chanting the name of Naushad, a local congress leader seeking a ticket.


Naushad’s Response

Denied involvement, saying he had left with rahul gandhi for muzaffarpur 15–20 minutes earlier.

Stated he had been a congress worker for 20 years and had twice contested elections in Delhi.

Apologised for the incident: “Since we organised the program, I am apologising.”


Congress Stand

Congress distanced itself from the remarks.

Senior leader Rashid Alvi condemned the abusive language, clarifying it does not reflect party values.


BJP’s Reaction

BJP launched a strong attack demanding an apology from rahul Gandhi.

Spokesperson Neeraj Kumar:

Called the remarks “absolutely intolerable.”

Accused rahul gandhi of being “jealous” of PM Modi’s rise from humble beginnings and OBC background.

Warned that “the people of bihar will never forgive you.”



Ravi shankar Prasad’s Statement

Labeled the language “shameful” and “deeply insulting.”

Said it insulted PM Modi’s late mother and India’s cultural values.

Praised Modi’s mother for instilling values of service and sacrifice.

Warned that Bihar’s people would respond strongly to such rhetoric.


Political Context

Rahul gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav held major rallies in Darbhanga, muzaffarpur, and Sitamarhi.

These regions are nda strongholds, making the controversy more politically sensitive.

The issue has intensified the BJP–Congress slugfest ahead of the elections.
