Electricity Consumption Hits New High

The daily electricity consumption in Tamil Nadu has increased to around 20,000 megawatts (MW), reflecting rising demand from households, industries, and commercial sectors.

Government Assures Uninterrupted Supply

Authorities have assured that there will be no disruption in power supply, and arrangements have been made to ensure uninterrupted electricity service across the state.

Plan to Meet Increased Demand

To meet public demand efficiently, officials have stated that about 22,000 MW of electricity per day will be supplied over the next three months. This plan is expected to prevent shortages even during peak consumption periods.

Strengthening Power Infrastructure

The state power utilities are also focusing on better grid management and resource planning to handle fluctuations in demand, especially during summer months when usage typically rises.
