Former indian cricketer and active commentator Sanjay Manjrekar celebrates his birthday today.  He is one of the most popular commentators in India. But his excellence isn’t a reason for that. Manjrakar has this love towards mumbai players which leads to the accusation of partiality in his statements.

His statement regarding indian all-rounder ravindra jadeja was condemned by Jadeja himself in a tweet. Manjrekar had named him as ‘bit and pieces of player’. Jadeja in return condemned him by saying ‘Enough of your verbal diarrhea.  Jadeja also did reply with his bat, ball, and a bullet throw in the 2019 cricket world cup semi-final. After scoring his fifty, Jadeja raised his bat towards the commentary panel and signaled Manjerakar as if asking a question.

Manjrekar keeps getting replies like this whenever he criticizes a player. But, apart from all of these, he is a pretty good analyst. He has made some good analytics during the post-match sessions. It is normal for anyone to criticize a player with constructive words. He might have biases as well. In the same way, it is also normal for a player to reply to those criticisms.

Manjrekar named his eleven for india before the World test championship finals which didn’t include Jadeja and had Siraj’s name on it. Fans trolled Manjrekar back then but after the loss, they felt Siraj would have been a better pick in those conditions. After all, he is a human being and should not be targeted for everything he does. Happy birthday to the guy who holds his statement even after all this chaos.
