The international cricket Council (ICC) has made some changes in the rules of cricket. The ICC Men's cricket Committee had recommended changing these rules. It has got the green signal from the ICC. These changes will be implemented from june 17. There was a lot of controversy over the concussion substitute rule in the recent t20 series between india and England. This rule has been amended. Also, the use of two balls in ODIs has also been changed now.

Now before the match starts, both the teams will have to submit a list of five players each for concussion substitute. Also, the replacement should be of a like to like player. If a fast bowler is out due to concussion, then only a fast bowler will come in his place.

There was a controversy in the India-England t20 series

During the t20 series between india and england, Harshit Rana was fielded as a concussion substitute for shivam Dubey. After the defeat in this match, the captain of england had raised questions on this rule. shivam is an all-rounder, he also bowls at medium pace along with batting, but Harshit Rana was fielded in his place, who is mainly a bowler. Change in the two ball rule of ODI

At present, a new ball is used by both sides in ODI International. But now this rule has been changed. Now two balls will be used from the first over to the 34th over. Then from the remaining overs, the team will have to choose one ball from the two, and the remaining overs will then be bowled with that chosen one ball only. If the match is reduced to 25 or less overs due to rain, then the match will be played with one ball only.
