What This Means for Harmanpreet, Smriti & the Team

· Harmanpreet Kaur, as captain and senior leader, will likely lead the Australian tour and may play across formats (T20, ODI, Test) — giving her a packed return.

· Smriti Mandhana, a key batter, is expected to feature in all formats too; her experience will be crucial on challenging away tours like australia and England.

· The break after the world cup win gives them a moment to rest, recover, and prepare mentally for the upcoming grind — but it's not a long hiatus.

· Their participation in the WPL 2026 means they'll stay match-fit and sharp ahead of the australia tour.

Why This Next Stretch Is Important

1. Momentum is Key: Riding the high of their world cup success, these upcoming series will test whether India’s women can build consistency across formats.

2. T20 world cup Prep: The australia and england tours will serve as preparation for the T20 world cup 2026, giving the team match practice in overseas conditions.

3. Raising the Bar: With more eyeballs on women’s cricket after the world cup win, every game will carry more significance — for legacy, for rankings, and for building a sustainable winning culture.
