One of the world's largest VPN service providers, has revealed in its research that till now the data of about 6 million i.e. 60 lakh people has been stolen and sold in the bot market. india is the most affected in this.
Bot markets are used to sell stolen data. Hackers steal these data from different devices of people through bot malware. Bot Market was launched in 2018 and Nord VPN has tracked the data ever since.
Nord VPN studied three major bot markets, Genesis Market, Russian Market, and 2Easy, and found that the stolen data included logins from Google, Microsoft, and facebook accounts. Marijus Briedis, Chief technology Officer of Nord VPN, told that bot markets are quite different from other dark web markets and in this hackers are able to get maximum data of a person from one place. Nord VPN researchers found 667 million cookies, 81,000 wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital fingerprints, 5,38,000 auto-fill forms, screenshots and webcam snaps from different devices in their study.
