A shocking revelation has been made in the investigation of the espionage case of maharashtra ATS. Pakistani intelligence network not only resorted to honeytrap to operate in india, but also tried to mingle in the wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital environment of india by putting pictures of Lord Ram-Sita and famous temples in the profile photo of whatsapp and Telegram accounts.

Sources said that the location tagging of these profiles was also linked to temples and religious places, so that these numbers look 'desi' and no one gets suspicious. Investigative agencies believe that this was a well-planned strategy to win trust and avoid suspicion through cultural symbols.

ravi Verma in judicial custody

The accused ravi Verma arrested in this case has been sent to 14-day judicial custody by thane court on Thursday. Verma is accused of leaking sensitive information related to indian warships.

ATS had told the court that they have found new electronic evidence, for which more remand is needed for investigation, but the court rejected it. Advocate rupali Shinde, on behalf of ravi Verma, argued in the court that there is a contradiction in the investigation of ATS. He said that the agency is calling a woman 'Preeti Jaiswal', whereas the woman who came in contact with ravi Verma used to call herself 'Jaspreet' and said that she was a resident of delhi or Punjab.

Fake SIM cards from Delhi-Mumbai, gujarat and UP

ATS officials said that names like 'Preeti Jaiswal' and 'Sir' are actually fake names used by pakistan Intelligence Operative (PIO) network. According to sources, several fake mobile numbers were used in this honeytrap operation which were registered in delhi, Mumbai, gujarat and Uttar Pradesh and were activated by obtaining SIM cards through fake documents.

Numbers are saved with the names Preeti, Nisha, Akriti

Investigation has revealed that the numbers of these agents were saved in ravi Verma's mobile with common names like 'Preeti Friend', 'Jaspreet college Friend', 'Nisha Friend', 'Akriti Friend'. From this, it is being assumed that he did not have any kind of suspicion. ATS suspects that ravi Verma was not the only target of this network. This Pakistan-backed spying network is targeting many people across the country on the same pattern, which includes misuse of indian SIM cards, religious symbols and social media.
