coronavirus is not stopping in Maharashtra. On saturday (June 14), 53 new cases of corona virus were reported in maharashtra, taking the total number of cases reported this year to 1,967. According to the health Department, two corona infected patients died. After this the death toll increased to 27. An official statement said that out of these new cases, 24 were reported in mumbai, 11 in pune city, five in Thane, three in Pimpri Chinchwad (near Pune), two each in Sangli city, rural parts of the district, nagpur city and pune district and one each in Navi mumbai Township and Raigad district.

So far 823 patients have died

It said that two deaths were reported on Friday, taking the total death toll in the state this year to 27. 26 of the deceased were also suffering from other diseases. 21,067 samples have been tested for coronavirus in maharashtra since january 1. The department said that the total number of patients in mumbai since january has reached 829, out of which the highest number of 823 cases were registered in May alone.

So many cases in 24 hours

According to the health Ministry, 269 new cases of infection were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. The highest number of 132 cases were registered in Karnataka. Apart from that, 79 people have been infected with Covid in Gujarat. 54 cases were found in Kerala, 20 in Madhya Pradesh, 12 in tamil Nadu, 11 in Sikkim, 9 in Haryana, 8 in Chhattisgarh, 7 in Rajasthan, 6 in Assam, 5 in Bihar, 3 in Manipur, two each in Odisha-Tripura and Goa, and one each in jharkhand and Uttarakhand. In Rajasthan, a 70-year-old woman died due to the infection, while in tamil Nadu, a 73-year-old man, who was already suffering from several diseases, died.
