A new revelation has been made in the case of confirming tickets from VVIP quota through fake signatures and letterheads in Mumbai's Central Railway. The Railway police i.e. GRP, which is investigating, has found Rs 4 lakh from the bank account of accused Chai Wale alias ravindra Sahu. He had deposited this amount through ticket booking using fake letterheads and stamps of senior railway officials.
ravindra used to work as a waiter in the railway canteen
According to all sources, Sahu had opened this account in a private bank. Currently, GRP has frozen his bank account and is trying to find out from which accounts this amount was transferred. The surprising thing is that the accused used to work as a waiter in the railway canteen on a nominal salary, but in greed for money, he adopted this illegal path.
Investigation has revealed that ravindra Sahu had the support of some employees of the emergency quota department of the railway. Sources have claimed that GRP is investigating these possible collusions. On this basis, Central Railway has also started its internal investigation, so that it can be clear how this fraud of confirming tickets was being carried out and which employees played a role in it.
In this case, GRP has also recorded the statement of the head of the sleeper ticket department. Along with this, statements of senior officials whose fake letterheads and signatures were used are also being taken.
Railway sources believe that in the coming days, many more big revelations can be made in this fraud. This matter does not seem to be limited to just one waiter, but there is a possibility of a deep network in it.
