Born on July 9, 1925, in Karnataka, Guru Dutt is considered the best among all the filmmakers of the 50s and 60s. He achieved a lot in his professional life, but he was so worried about love that one day he ended his life. At the age of 39, he had embraced death. Rift in marriage-
Guru Dutt's personal life was full of complications. He met singer Geeta Roy during the film 'Baazi'. Their love blossomed and in 1953, Guru Dutt and Geeta Roy got married. The married life of both was going well but during this time due to waheeda rehman, a rift started between the two. The closeness of Guru Dutt and waheeda rehman kept him away from his wife and children. Guru Dutt could neither keep Geeta close to him nor could he remove it from his heart, but Geeta sang songs in Guru Dutt's last film. Guru Dutt's last film was Kaagaz Ke Phool.
He was finally found dead in his rented apartment on the morning of 10 october 1964, after being separated from his wife Geeta for several years and waheeda rehman also being away. He died due to consuming excessive sleeping pills along with alcohol.
