Arvind Trivedi, who played the role of 'Ravana' in Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayana', was born on this day in the year 1938 in Indore. As such, Arvind Trivedi acted in more than 300 social and mythological films. But, he got fame for playing the character of Ravana. Let us tell you that Arvind Trivedi, who wished to kill Lord Rama in reel life, was an exclusive devotee of Rama in real life. During the shooting, Arvind Trivedi had to speak badly about Lord Ram. That's why he used to do different types of worship to atone for God.
Arvind himself disclosed this during an interview. He had told that he used to worship Lord ram and shiva before starting the shooting. He said, "Many times I had to do evil to god while speaking dialogues during the shooting. In such a situation, while worshiping, I used to apologize to him in advance and users say that if any abusive words about him come out of my mouth, then forgive me.
Arvind Trivedi further said that I am a devotee of ram and shiva in real life as well. But at the time of the shooting, I had to say such things about him many times which is a sin. So I used to fast for the whole day to repent. And after the shooting was over, he used to open his fast by changing clothes at night.
Let us tell you that Arvind's wish was to play the role of Kevat in the serial. But, after the audition, Ramanand Sagar's opinion changed and he gave the role of Ravana to Arvind. The actor had to work very hard to play this role. It is said that it took Arvind five hours to become Ravana. He also had to face trouble because of heavy jewelry and crowns. Despite this, he played this character brilliantly.
