Hydroxychloroquine which is backed by former US President donald trump seems to be that magical medicine for COVID. In a recent study by the Journal of The Association of Physicians of India, medicine is found to be highly effective compared to others. The prevention rate was found to be 72% for more than a period of 6 weeks or even longer. 

After giving the dosage of HCQ the patients who were suffering from COVID had a huge recovery and it was all recorded in the data. This data was recorded when health Ministry recommended HCQ as part of the medical treatment. It should be noted that the former US President also called Hydroxychloroquine the magical 'gamechanger' drug during the first wave of COVID.

However, Dr.Fauci was against his claims and he revealed that HCQ requires more study and evidence. But, trump was very much positive and he continued to campaign in favor of the drug. Even our health ministry dropped HCQ from COVID treatment protocol on the 6th of June. This decision was taken by Union health Ministry as there was no proper study-based evidence. The indian Council of Medical Research also never recommended Hydroxychloroquine.
