The two factions have had a falling out over how the festival was handled last month. Due to corona prevention policies, officials from the Hindu temple Department also declined permission to hold the ceremony. In violation of the restriction, several members of a political party organised a celebration procession in front of the temple on the 5th of last month. temple Thakkar filed a complaint with the police station in Khurumpur. "Veeramanikkam Veerapathrakaliamman temple festival was not allowed due to law and order issue and corona," it stated.

Despite the prohibition, S.P. Patturamasundaram and colleagues organised a cattle festival. They barred me from working after I spoke out against it. Batturamasundaram is said to have gathered money from the public for the celebration. Batturamasundaram has been holding roughly 100 pounds of temple jewellery and has refused to hand it over."
