On june 17th, we will finally get to see rana daggubati and sai pallavi in the socio-political film "Virata Parvam," which is set in a vintage setting and stars them as Naxals. However, now that the film's premiere date has been set, rumours are circulating that the film is actually an unauthorised biopic of a dead Maoist leader.

Apparently, it was previously revealed that rana has a bad role in the film and that priyamani kills the character played by sai pallavi near the conclusion. According to this, the part played by sai pallavi is loosely based on the life and times of Maoist Belli Lalitha, who began her career as a folk singer before joining the cause. Lalitha was rumoured to be romantically associated with former Naxalite and mobster Nayeem, though this was never confirmed. But, according to reports, Nayeem had her slain, and her body was hacked up and dumped away in front of the choutuppal police station in 1999.

According to rumours around Virata Parvam, the story would be told by a figure who will portray Sai Pallavi's brother, who has been in exile for 17 years following the murder of his sister. Belli Lalitha's three brothers were killed after her died, and her remaining brother was forgotten until Nayeem was killed in a police encounter in Telangana. It's even more unclear now if the "Virata Parvam" film is about this, which explains why producer Suresh Babu asked that director Venu Udugula rewrite a number of sequences and undergo numerous reshoots.
