Due to the city's flooding, hotel room rates in Bengaluru have increased to between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000 per night. This occurs after a number of locals began relocating to the hotels from their flooded homes. Numerous hotels in Old airport Road, Whitefield, the Outer Ring Road, and koramangala are reportedly fully booked through Friday.

Meena Girisaballa, the CEO of a technology company, told the media that she spent a night in a hotel on Old airport Road for Rs 42000. In Old airport Road, Whitefield, the Outer Ring Road, and koramangala, many hotels are fully booked through Friday. The hotel managers claim that the rooms have been reserved for 10 to 15 days.

The indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted heavy rain in Bengaluru for the following five days on Wednesday. IMD issued a red alert, advising people to take the appropriate safety measures and directing those residing on the ground floors to move to safer locations. According to a senior official, some places may get more than 20 mm of rain in an hour. Following significant rain in the catchment area on Wednesday, Dakshina Pinakini, a river that had been dry for more than three decades and was all but forgotten by Bengalureans, spilled. A section of the congested Channasandra Main Road close to the city's technology corridor was buried in four feet of running water as a result of the impact, which caused traffic to snarl.
