Padi kaushik Reddy, the BRS candidate from huzurabad, claimed on the penultimate day of campaigning that if he loses in the telangana Assembly elections, he will kill himself. With barely a few hours till the campaigning finishes, the BRS candidate made these dramatic declarations while asking his constituents to vote for him.

A video of his address has gone viral, with kaushik Reddy declaring, "The voters will have to decide whether my yatra after december 3 will be a Vijaya yatra (victory march) or a savayatra (funeral procession)." On Tuesday, november 28, he was accompanied in his protest by BRS working president KT Rama Rao. kaushik Reddy's method of appealing to people has been criticized by his opponents, who claim that the BRS leader is threatening voters in order to compel them to vote for him.

Huzurabad contest

The huzurabad seat has a total voter base of 2,44,514 people, and kaushik Reddy will face BJP's Eatala Rajender and Congress' Vodithala Pranav. kaushik Reddy formerly worked for congress and ran in the 2018 huzurabad Assembly election on a congress ticket, losing to Eatala, who ran from BRS. Etala later joined the BJP.

After getting into difficulties with congress over a viral audio tape, kaushik Reddy defected to the BRS in 2021, months before the huzurabad by-election.

According to the video, he allegedly sought to rally BRS personnel to canvass for him in the byelections, pretending to be the BRS's preferred candidate.

Eatala Rajendar won the huzurabad seat in the telangana Assembly elections 2018, receiving 1,04,840 votes for BRS and 61,121 votes for Congress' kaushik Reddy Padi.

Telangana will have a triangle election between the BRS, the congress, and the BJP. This time, revanth reddy of the congress and Etala Rajender of the bjp are running against BRS supremo kcr in two constituencies: kamareddy and Gajwel.

Telangana will vote on november 30, with the results being announced on december 3.
