Eatala Rajender's political path in telangana has been one of ups and downs, ending in a huge loss in the 2014 assembly Elections. As one of the BJP's star candidates, he was expected to win at least one of the disputed seats, but he was defeated in both the huzurabad and Gajwel constituencies.

Eatala was defeated in his home seat of huzurabad by BRS' Padi kaushik Reddy, who received 80,333 votes to Eatala's 63,460. Kaushik's passionate appeal and vow to take his own life if he lost might have swayed the result. Eatala's direct challenge against chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao in Gajwel led to another defeat by 45,031 votes.

Internal discontent with party president bandi sanjay kumar prompted some leaders to nominate Eatala Rajender as the new party leader. A feud between Rajender and Sanjay complicated the party dynamics, contributing to the loss in Huzurabad. Political commentators believe Eatala should reconsider his attitude, citing the possibility that his forceful style led to the recent collapse. The setbacks have placed doubt on Eatala's political future, and the appearance of Vodithala Pranav as a congress candidate adds complication, implying that the bjp faces stiffer struggles in Telangana.
