Greater warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) clamped down on unlawful building in the city. To begin with, the GWMC destroyed the Varnam Shopping Mall in warangal Chowrastha on Tuesday. Municipal commissioner Shaik Rizwan Basha stated that several builders had violated the norms. "The stilt and cellar areas are strictly for parking, and they cannot be used for other purposes," he added. Varnam Mall among others demolished.

He accused the Varnam Shopping Mall's managers of violating construction codes. "Even though the GWMC had sent several notices, the Varnam management ignored them, hence we removed the encroached part of the construction," the commissioner went on to say. "The staff has also removed several ramps between warangal Chowrastha and Pochmma Maidan," the official added.

"The GWMC discovered multiple unlawful buildings at Madikonda, Hanumakonda, Kasibugga, Nakkalagutta, and KUC Crossroads. These structures will also be demolished if the owners refuse to repair them within a week," Shaik Rizwan Basha warned. The commissioner stated that they had filed a letter to the TS NPDCL requesting the removal of the building's electrical connection. GWMC officials, DRF teams, and police officers were all there.
