As a member of the Legislative assembly representing the Hindupur seat, Nandamuri balakrishna has won twice. The constituency has served as a bastion for the telugu desam party since its inception in 1983. Not surprisingly, Nandamuri balakrishna wants to win three titles in a row. He fears, nevertheless, that the governing ysr congress Party has a plan to stop him and prevent him from winning a hat-trick.
 
Balakrishna is currently focusing all of his energies on his constituency. He is making an effort to canvass in a forceful manner, unlike previously. He has also put a halt to filming. Production has stopped, but he is now filming under Bobby's leadership. It's been speculated that he won't be going back to the sets until after the elections are over. balakrishna is up against fierce opposition for the first time in a tdp stronghold of a constituency.

Since 1983, the locals have been tdp supporters. balakrishna of hindupuram won with sixteen thousand votes in the 2014 elections; however, he received seventeen thousand votes in the 2019 elections. With almost two lakh votes, the hindupuram seat has seen zero development from the tdp to yet. This is mostly because of Balayya. There is no documentation of him wishing the locals a happy new year since he was elected as MLA. Better left unsaid than spoken on Balakrishna's performance as an MLA.
