Kashyap Calls Film ‘Propaganda’

Filmmaker anurag kashyap criticised kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond, calling it a “propaganda” and “bull-t” film.

He alleged that the movie attempts to divide people and spread hatred.

Kashyap also labelled director Kamakhya Narayan Singh as “greedy.”

Mocking the film’s portrayal, he said, “Aise to log khichdi bhi nahi khilate jaisa movie mein beef khila rahe hai,” questioning its realism.

🔹 director Kamakhya Narayan Singh Responds

Singh hit back strongly in an interview with ANI.

He claimed that audiences no longer take Kashyap seriously, citing his recent box-office failures.

Singh alleged Kashyap is “mentally weak” and unwilling to accept what he called “the truth.”

Defending the film’s theme, Singh stated that it addresses alleged forced religious conversions.

He controversially claimed that “innocent daughters are being fed beef to change their religion,” calling it a crime.

🔹 ‘Based on True Incidents’ Claim

Singh asserted that every scene in kerala Story 2 is inspired by real events.

He offered to send detailed research materials to Kashyap’s residence if he wished to review them.

In a video shared on X, Singh emphasised that debate should focus on “facts and data,” not labels like “propaganda.”

He argued that creative freedom should apply equally to all filmmakers.
