The tdp and the ruling YSRCP are expected to face off in a fierce race for the nellore Rural assembly seat. In the next elections, sitting mla kotamreddy sridhar reddy, running on the tdp ticket, will take on Adala Prabhakara Reddy. On the YSRCP ticket, sridhar reddy won two elections from the constituency in 2014 and 2019. However he left the ruling party and joined the tdp because of disagreements with the party leadership. He was given a ticket to run in the 2024 assembly elections from the nellore Rural constituency by tdp president Chandrababu Naidu. Due to his relationships with the residents of the constituency, sridhar reddy has considerable popularity among them.
 
According to a politician who wished to remain anonymous, sridhar reddy won in 2014 and 2019 by outspending his competitors financially because of his positive reputation in the nellore Rural constituency. Recall that in 2014 and 2019, kotamreddy sridhar reddy won two victories on the YSRCP ticket from the nellore Rural seat in a triangular election. In 2014, he secured a majority of 25,653 votes against bjp candidate Sannapureddy suresh reddy, and in 2019, he beat tdp nominee Shaik Abdul Aziz with 22,776 votes.
 
Even though he is the TDP-JSP-BJP coalition's candidate in the next elections, the alliance partners have not given him enough support. However, the bjp and JSP appear to be turning away from the tdp in the constituency in opposition to the "Sankeerna Dharma." After recently leaving the JSP, Chennareddy Manukranth reddy, the president of the nellore district JSP, started to endorse the YSRCP, which made things difficult for the tdp candidate. In the 2019 elections, Manukranth reddy campaigned under the JSP flag from the nellore Rural seat, receiving 9,003 votes.
 
Conversely, the bjp, which possesses a small number of votes in the nellore Rural seat, appears to be observing the election from a distance. Sannapureddy suresh reddy, a bjp candidate in 2014 who was born in Chinnachekuru village in nellore Rural Mandal, lost to YSRCP nominee kotamreddy sridhar reddy by a margin of 25,653 votes. 53,450 votes were cast for suresh reddy in the election.
 
Adala Prabhakara reddy, the YSRCP's nominee, is a contractor from North Mopur village in the Kavali constituency who is also a politician. Due to his good fortune, he has won five elections in a row from various constituencies belonging to various parties. 2014 is the only year he has lost. He has won elections on the tdp platform in 1999 and 2019, the congress platform in 2004 and 2009, and the YSRCP platform in 2019. Nonetheless, the majority of the victorious candidate in nellore Rural is probably going to be between 4,000 and 5,000 votes, regardless of which party wins in the subsequent polls.
 
Adala made his political debut in 1999 when he defeated Katamreddy Vishnuvardhan reddy, the nominee of the congress, by a margin of 5,983 votes, winning the Allur assembly constituency on a tdp ticket. He served in the chandrababu naidu cabinet as the Housing Minister. Later, he joined the congress party, and in 2004 and 2009, he defeated Somireddy Chandramohan reddy, the tdp nominee, by a margin of 7,620 votes and a majority of 10,284 votes, respectively, to win two elections from the Sarvepalle constituency.
 
He once more joined the tdp and ran for the nellore mp seat under the same party's flag. Mekapati Rajamohan reddy, the YSRCP's nominee, beat him by a margin of 13,478 votes. Afterwards, he became a member of the YSRCP and ran for the 2019 nellore mp seat. In the election, he defeated Beeda Masthan Rao, the tdp nominee, by a margin of 1,48, 571 votes.
