April and May often provide major box office blockbusters, but this year has been sluggish owing to elections and the IPL. However, May 31st promises excitement with the release of three new films: Gangs of Godavari (starring Vishwak Sen), Bhaje Vaayu Vegam (starring Kartikeya), and Gam Gam Ganesha (starring anand Deverakonda). 

These releases are critical for the main actors, who require a hit. It will be interesting to watch which picture wins. Vishwak Sen wants to become a popular hero among the Gangs of Godavari. anand deverakonda aspires to build on his success from Baby and avoid being a one-hit wonder. Kartikeya, whose last film, Bedurulanka 2012, was mediocre at the box office, hopes to score a hit with Bhaje Vaayu Vegam and carve out a niche for himself.

All three films were widely marketed. None are likely to overwhelm the others, and they all have the potential to succeed if word spreads positively. With an extended gap between major releases owing to elections and the IPL, viewers are anxious for new flicks.
