The Central Board of Film Certification rates films according to a set of guidelines before distributing them. However, five new categories have been added to make it easier for parents to find the correct information so they can choose wisely for their children. There are now four more subcategories within the unrestricted category: U, UA7+, UA13+, and UA16+. Additionally, there will always be an A category that is exclusively open to adults.

The UA category has age restrictions of 7+, 13+, and 16+ years. These days, parents may quickly determine what is best for their children according to their age groups. Many internet users praised this new action and said that viewers of all ages are also exposed to offensive material and double-meaning jokes in the name of U certification. It makes sense to further classify movies to keep children away from uncensored material and teach them things that go against societal norms.

However, other people thought that this restricted the filmmakers' ability to express themselves freely. They said that this is a fraud because children often get access to a wide variety of information via social media and the internet.
