Here's What Both Captains Said During Toss

Shreyas Lyer (Punjab Kings Captain)

"We are going to bowl first. This is a rain-interrupted game, and also the overs have been reduced. We also want to have an idea about how the pitch will play. Bowling first is the right option given the conditions. There is one change. Marcus Stoinis comes in for Glenn Maxwell. Also, Harpreet Brar comes in."

"We need to have the right players in the right place, especially the angles on the field, given the venue. We have discussed a lot about it in the team meetings."

Rajat Patidar (Royal Challengers Bengaluru Captain)

"Well, I think we have to be smart in adapting to the conditions and also with the situation of the game. We will try our best. I don't think so. The surface looks pretty hard and it will be a bit sticky. We will look to put a decent total on the board. I am a bit confused with the Impact sub-rule. As of now, we are playing with the same team."
