Nutritionist Rashi Chowdhary and samantha Ruth Prabhu had an open discussion about period health. The actress talked candidly about perimenopause, the time leading up to menopause, in a recent episode of Rashi's podcast. Hormonal changes, erratic menstruation periods, and possible menopausal symptoms including hot flashes are characteristics of the perimenopause.

Samantha advocated awareness and acceptance of perimenopause, revealing that it is a normal transitional stage that all women experience.  She has also talked about her personal menstrual cycle journey and challenges.

The actress emphasized that perimenopause is not an illness but rather a normal stage of life.  "No one is talking about it, and we go through changes while we don't know what is really happening inside our bodies," she said.  Unexpected weight gain, swings, fatigue, sleep trouble, and a host of other issues." "Perimenopause is not some sort of disease or disorder," she continued.  This is the most normal stage that all of us will experience.

"Cycle syncing is basically syncing your lifestyle, your workout, your food, your supplements, and the activities you do – all of that based on the four different phases of a cycle," Rashi said in response to Samantha's question about the idea.

"If it's a 30-day cycle, for instance, our periods have four distinct phases depending on which hormone is higher at what time," she continued.  To put it simply, the menstrual phase is the first stage, followed by the follicular phase, ovulation, and the final phase, the luteal phase.
