The UN urged all sides to exercise military restraint following India's wednesday missile strikes on pakistan, emphasizing that the world cannot afford a military conflict between india and Pakistan. "Their highest in years" is the warning that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued regarding the tensions between the two neighbors in South Asia.

The military actions of india across the international border and Line of Control have the Secretary-General extremely alarmed.  He urges both nations to use the utmost military caution.  During a news briefing on Tuesday, UN chief spokesperson Stephane Dujarric stated that the world cannot afford a military conflict between india and Pakistan.

Following the 26-person pahalgam terror assault, india initiated "Operation Sindoor" and targeted nine terror infrastructure locations in pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
 
"I hope the escalation ends soon": trump
 
US President donald trump responded as well, expressing the hope that the escalation will be swiftly ended.
 
It's unfortunate. We were just entering the Oval when we learned about it. When asked to remark upon India's massive military assault targeting Pakistani terror infrastructure, trump said, "Just heard about it."
 
"I guess people knew something was going to happen based on a little bit of the past," trump stated.

The US president also emphasized how long the conflict had been going on.  "They've been engaged in combat for decades on end.  If you consider it, centuries.  I'm hoping it ends soon.
