During his meeting with Dutch Foreign minister Caspar Veldkamp on monday (local time), External Affairs minister S jaishankar expressed admiration for the nation's resolute condemnation of the april 22 pahalgam terror attack and its backing of a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.

Jaishankar thanked the netherlands for their hospitality on social networking site X, mentioning that he had spoken with his counterpart about important international issues and strengthened bilateral connections between the two countries. "Thank FM Caspar Veldkamp of the netherlands for hosting me today in The Hague. Appreciate the Netherlands' strong condemnation of the pahalgam attack. And support for zero tolerance against terrorism. Had wide-ranging discussions on deepening our bilateral partnership and engagement with the EU. Exchanged views on the global situation in an era of multi-polarity," the EAM stated on X.

Additionally, jaishankar spoke with Ruben Brekelmans, the defense minister of the netherlands, about the advantages of a bilateral defense partnership between the two countries. "I'm glad to have seen Ruben Brekelmans, the minister of defense, in The Hague today. discussed our individual security challenges and points of view. Jasishnakr added, "We also discussed the advantages of establishing a bilateral defense partnership."

The EAM also engaged with the indian community in the netherlands, noting the value of the community's contribution to building a stronger relationship between india and the Netherlands.
