According to a CNN report, the Chinese scientist has been accused of smuggling biological material. She is doing PhD at Wuhan's Huazhong university of Science and Technology. She has come to Michigan University to complete a research project. This scientist has been accused of sending biological material related to insects to a lab of the university without the permission of the government.

American Attorney Jerome Gorgan Jr. said that America is in danger because of this smuggling. The FBI said that last year and early this year, an envelope was found inside one of his books, which when opened, contained biological material.
