The need for air defense has been brought to the attention of the world by the Israel-Iran war.  Israel was protected from Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iranian strikes by the iron Dome air defense system.

No projectile caused harm inside israel as long as rockets and regular missiles were utilized for attacks. However, the Israeli iron Dome, Arrow, and other systems are having to put in a lot of effort as soon as the frequency of hypersonic and ballistic missile attacks increases. iran fired about 200 ballistic and hypersonic missiles for the first time last October. The question of whether any nation has a defense against hypersonic missile attacks now emerges.

Launching an air defense missile against a hypersonic missile, which flies at its slowest speed of 5 Mach, or 6174 kmh, in the atmosphere, is extremely challenging.

Iran's hypersonic missiles devastated numerous locations in Israel. Given how difficult it is to detect and then engage a hypersonic missile, it is one of the most deadly weapons available today. The slowest hypersonic missile is 5 Mach, which means that it can travel roughly 6173 kilometers in an hour if we convert it to kilometers. israel and iran are about two thousand kilometers apart in the air.  It can reach a top speed of 10 Mach and travels five times faster than sound. To intercept a hypersonic missile, one needs a hypersonic air defense system or a quicker high-hypersonic interceptor missile with a speed of about 10 to 25 Mach. No nation in the world has such an interceptor at the moment.

The range of ballistic missiles varies.  Following launch, it travels to space before entering the atmosphere and raining down on its target in accordance with the parabolic principle of physics.  It has a high hypersonic speed of 25 Mach, or 30870 km/h, when it descends from space.  They are nearly impossible to stop.

Gravity is the reason a ballistic missile falls when it hits the ground.  None of its rocket motor engines are now operating to move it.  Israel now has weapons that can only intercept ballistic missiles, which are particularly efficient against drones, missiles, and short-range rockets.  It contains anti-ballistic interceptors such as David's Sling, Arrow-2, and Arrow-3 for ballistic and cruise missiles at short and medium range.  In addition, America provided them with the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) System last year.
