A 95-year-old man named Nivriti Shinde bought a 'mangalsutra' for his wife Shantabai by begging on the streets. This video which went viral on social media has won the hearts of millions of people.

Nivriti Shinde and his wife Shantabai, who are residents of Ambora Jahagir village of Jalna district. For the last several years, they have been running their lives by begging on the streets of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Nivriti Shinde told that for the last 15 years he was promising his wife that he would buy a gold mangalsutra for her, but due to financial constraints this dream was not being fulfilled.
Handed over the mangalsutra for 20 rupees
Recently, he collected 1100 rupees by begging at the signal after working hard for about a month. With this amount, he reached gopika Jewelers. Where he liked a mangalsutra. But when the shop owner Nilesh Khivnasara came to know about the couple's story, he handed over the mangalsutra to them for just 20 rupees.
Nilesh Khivnasara told that the Shinde couple is very self-respecting. They felt it necessary to give some amount in exchange for taking the jewellery. That is why he gave the jewellery to them by taking 10 rupees each as their blessing. The price of which was about 3000 rupees. Khivnasara says, I have not done anything big, I have just fulfilled my duty as a human being.

As soon as this story of the Shinde couple went viral on social media, people became emotional. On one hand, where the elderly husband set an example of dedication for his wife, on the other hand, a jeweler presented a wonderful example of sensitivity and cooperation.
