The Mandalorian and Grogu are being considered as the first installment of a new trilogy, while Shawn Levy's Starfighter is beginning to take shape with the inclusion of actors like Ryan Gosling and Mia Goth. These developments suggest that the Star Wars series is almost back on track after some notable setbacks. Lucasfilm's unusual misfire doesn't seem to be deterring A-List talent from going to a Galaxy Far, Far Away. According to Daniel Richtman's story today, Dakota Johnson, star of Madame Web, is being considered for an unspecified part.

We would caution against taking this and other ambiguous casting reports too seriously.  It's intriguing, though, that Johnson would think about a huge property after having such a bad experience with Marvel with sony Pictures.

She stated, "It wasn’t my fault," in a recent interview.  There is a current trend where a committee makes a lot of innovative judgments.  or produced by those who lack any creative faculties.  And creating art that way is incredibly difficult.  or to create anything amusing in such manner.  And I believe that, regrettably, "Madame Web" began as one thing and evolved into another."

"And I was just sort of along for the ride at that point," Johnson added.  However, that does occur.  Larger-budget films consistently fall short.  I'm not wearing a Band-Aid.  I'm not the type of person who says, "Oh, I'll never do that again."  I've even made small films that weren't very successful.  Who gives a damn?

Maybe Johnson changed her mind since he worked closely with Pedro Pascal, star of The Mandalorian, on Materialists?  Naturally, the 50 Shades series star does not guarantee that she will accept a role just because she is being considered for one.
