Even without her glamorous entourage, samantha Ruth Prabhu never fails to turn heads.  The actor wore a Krésha Bajaj outfit that seemed both startlingly modern and firmly grounded in heritage for a recent occasion in the United States. She chose a burnt orange pre-draped sari, which provided the visual impact of the six-yard classic without requiring any of the typical preparation.
It appears to be a traditional pre-stitched sari at first glance. Actually, it's a three-piece modular ensemble consisting of a corset, an asymmetrical skirt, and a soft georgette drape that is designed to require "no ironing, no draping, and no fussing," as Bajaj puts it.
"A pre-stitched sari was a no-brainer for me because I wanted something that felt modern but still had a strong indian core," she explains. "Practicality was crucial because she didn't have access to her typical style crew. That's why "Auburnelle" felt appropriate. The concept of modular clothing serves as the foundation for this three-piece, couture-inspired outfit.
With its structured boning, fabric buttons, lace-up back, and hand-beaded embroidery that resembles the fading intricacy of vintage tapestries, the corset is the focal point. The intricate yet faded tapestries from the past served as the inspiration for the stitching. We used beads to replicate that gradient in place of threadwork," Bajaj says. Because everything is done by hand, it has depth and texture. As the end result, you get a gorgeous, structured corset that goes well with both jeans and fitted trousers.
The lower half is an asymmetrical cut, double-layered silk crepe skirt that mimics a sari without the trouble. Bajaj remarks, "It zips up in seconds, but it looks like a whole team helped her get ready." Delicate crystal tassels that offer a hint of sparkle without taking center stage are scattered over the border.
Every component of the design, from the modular construction to the rust-tinged color, was picked with care. The designer explains, "I wanted a shade that felt bold but lived-in—not loud, not neon, just warm, like something that's aged well."  With minimal makeup, lightly curled hair, and stilettos, samantha Ruth Prabhu let the silhouette speak for itself.
