Bsnl mtnl: The central government has postponed the plan to merge Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited with BSNL.

The central government has announced that it is postponing the merger of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited with BSNL.

It has been reported that the central government is planning to merge Mahanagar Nikam Limited with bsnl and the merger will take place by April. bsnl bsnl Chairman BK Purwar also made a public statement in this regard.

The financial crisis

In a written reply to a question in the state assembly yesterday, Union minister of State for Telecommunications Devsin Chauhan said, “There was a plan to merge Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited with bsnl, which the federal government was considering.

On october 23, 2019, the central government approved the restructuring of bsnl and MTNL. Approval was also given in principle to merge the two companies. However, due to financial problems, the government has decided to postpone the project. ”

BSNL Chairman and Managing director PK Purwar said in a recent report to a parliamentary committee that MTNL has a debt of Rs 26,500 crore and should look for special ways to resolve it. Thus MTNL can be merged with BSNL.

In 2019, the central government allocated Rs 70,000 crore in restructuring funds for the two companies. With this funding, MTNL is expected to be profitable in 2020-21 and bsnl is expected to be profitable in 2023-24.

Everyone will know how god came to earth to know how the Rs 26,000 crore debt to MTNL came about. Until then the company will not improve. It is noteworthy that this is the truth and bsnl leader Purwar said that this should be accepted
