Google - Dangerous apps which steal users' data...


Google often brings some new features for its users. At the same time, it also takes special care of the safety of the users so that no risky incident happens to them. Recently google removed many apps from its Play Store. Actually, these apps were secretly collecting phone numbers and other important information of customers. The banned apps also include the 'Muslim Prayer App'. This app was downloaded by more than one crore users. However, similarly, a scanning app and a highway speed trap detection app were also found which were stealing the information of the users.

In this regard, a report by the Wall Street Journal states that google has banned 10 apps from its Play Store. These apps are accused of stealing data. It has been told in the report that the personal data of the users who used to download these apps were being stolen and provided to the hackers. In this sense, they were not safe at all.


Used to steal data like this

The banned apps were collecting users' exact location information, email, phone numbers, nearby devices, passwords, and other information. According to the information, hackers used to steal the information shared through these apps using cut and paste. Whatever activity the user used to do on his phone, hackers were easily keeping an eye on those activities. It has been claimed in the report that these apps are also used to transmit files downloaded on whatsapp to fraudsters.
