Most cities population over 80 lakhs
The government said that most of the population of polluted cities is more than 80 lakhs. The maximum 19 polluted cities are in Maharashtra, while the situation in 17 cities of Uttar Pradesh is bad. 13 in andhra pradesh and 9 in Punjab, while 7-7 cities of Madhya Pradesh, himachal pradesh and odisha are extremely polluted.

Anantapur, Chittoor, Eluru, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnul, Nellore, Ongole, Rajamundri, Srikakulam, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and vijayanagaram (Andhra Pradesh).
