Chief minister Stalin handed an award to Seven Panchayats in Dharmapuri for achieving 100% Corona immunisation. The new buildings of the Dharmapuri government Hospital, comprising the Integrated Maternity Emergency and Infant Intensive Care Center, were inaugurated by tamil Nadu chief minister M karunanidhi today (30). Stalin, the chief minister of tamil Nadu, arrived in Dharmapuri today for a series of official engagements and to undertake research on government projects.


As the first ceremony, he dedicated the new Integrated Maternity Emergency and Infant Intensive Care Center Building at Dharmapuri government Medical college Hospital (CEmONC). He toured the campus once the building was completed, which is spread across four stories and measures 5060 square metres. The house cost Rs Ten Crore to build. The building has 200 beds for the treatment of newborns, including 95 beds.

He also handed prizes and shields to the seven panchayats in Dharmapuri district that have been fully vaccinated against Corona, as well as to the panchayat leaders and community health nurses who have excelled in Corona.


The chief minister then presented the pregnant women with gift boxes from the government health Department. Following the programme, the chief minister travelled to Okenakkal in Pennagaram Circle to see the structures, including the Okkenakkal Joint Drinking Water Project Pumping Station and Water Treatment Plant
