1971 was the year of the greatest war the country had ever seen. The Indo-Pak war of 1971 is a major chapter in the history of India.

It was a complete war. At the same time the sea, the land and the sky became battlefields. The victory was with india then.

The war story recounts the defeat of more than one lakh Pakistani soldiers in the face of defeat. Operation Trident is the nickname given by the indian Navy to the destruction of US MiGs in the skies and British-built ships at sea. Today marks the 50th anniversary of  Operation Trident

Operation Trident

The 1971 war was a remnant of The  Partition of  India. The Bum Gladesh issue, the refugee issue and the Pak airstrikes all led to war.

It was a time when the pakistan Navy was gaining strength with US-Chinese assistance. The U.S. provided some of their warships to pakistan for free.

China's relentless support also strengthened the Pak army. In addition, the Arabs sided with pakistan by supplying oil and other supplies.

The aid came through the port of Karachi, the headquarters of the pakistan Navy. pakistan also deployed state-of-the-art destroyers from the US in Karachi. Operation Trident is a master plan devised by india to eliminate this place.

Three small missile corvettes, INS Veer, INS Nipat and INS Nirgar, and a tanker collided with the Pakistani navy, which included American-made destroyers.

The anti-submarine warfare corvettes were INS Kilton and INS Kachal. INS Poshak was the fleet tanker that accompanied them. The navy was then led by commander Babru Bhan Yadav.

Every december 4th

Operation Trident began on the night of december 4, 1971. During the day, the indian navy reached a distance of 400 km from Karachi. After the observations, everything was ready for the night.

The first missile was fired by INS Nirgat. The first missile destroyed the Pakistani destroyer. A second missile followed.

Without even giving the ships time to send an urgent message, our army dismembered the ships, including the delivery of weapons. The indian navy returned after destroying fuel tanks in Karachi port.

The fact that nothing happened to any of our ships or sailors during this carnage added to the success. Bum Gladesh was free when the Pak army was defeated after days of fighting.

The return of the prisoners of war at that time was one of the most significant events in world history.

This is because of Anna's generosity towards the Pak army, which has changed the practice of killing prisoners of war, which has set india apart from others. Yes, december 4th is a day to remember and be proud of.
