Ramu and Raju were childhood friends. Once they decided to go to the nearby town to look for work. On the way they had to pass through a thick forest. As they were walking through the forest, they saw a large bear approaching them.
He looked fierce and hungry. In fear Ramu ran and climbed up a tree. He forgot that his friend did not know how to climb a tree. So Ramu felt safe at the tree top and Raju’s life was in danger. Raju kept calling Ramu for help but he did not help him climb the tree.
Soon Raju saw the bear coming towards him. He did not know what to do. Suddenly an idea came into his mind. He had heard that bears do not eat a dead body. So he just lay on the ground and did not move. The bear came to Raju and sniffed him. Raju stopped breathing.
The bear thought Raju was dead so he walked away. When the bear had left, Ramu came down the tree. He asked Raju, “What was the bear whispering in your ear?” Raju replied, “He just warned me to stay away from unfaithful friends like you.”
