As the year draws to a close, the dynamics of celebrations, particularly christmas, have undergone significant transformations compared to the past. In earlier years, christmas may not have been a grand affair, but the present scenario, especially in the Telugu-speaking states, showcases a different atmosphere, marked by the influence of Western culture.

 This shift can be attributed to the increasing number of individuals employed in IT-related jobs, many of which are connected with the united states and other Western countries. The holiday seasons in these countries have a ripple effect on the festive mood in India. The significance of christmas has grown, with a considerable number of people returning to india from abroad to celebrate the holidays.


 This festive season also witnesses a surge in the use of mobile apps, according to a report by Cisco. The report, based on responses from 12,000 participants across countries such as the united states, UK, UAE, Germany, and india, reveals that 85 percent of consumers surveyed anticipate a substantial increase in app usage during the holidays.


Entertainment takes center stage, with 88 percent of respondents stating their intent to use mobile apps for movies, games, and music. In india, 72 percent of participants express a preference for connected devices like Alexa and smart home technology, while 60 percent are inclined towards gaming apps. Social media, video calls, and chatting apps are utilized by 84 percent for staying connected with family members.


Food delivery services, in particular, are a major beneficiary of app-based transactions, with 88 percent of respondents relying on them. In essence, the survey highlights the pervasive influence of mobile apps across various aspects of life during the festive season, reflecting the evolving trends in celebrations and communication patterns.
