The central government has stated that raising the monthly basic wage of central personnel would not be considered. The government had previously announced a Dearness Allowance (DA) increase of 28% beginning July 1. It also said that they would be unable to provide a raise in their base wage. This is despite the fact that they have been receiving 28% DA from the central government since July.

According to the administration, no raise in the basic pay is being considered. The central government, according to Pankaj Chaudhary, minister of Finance (India), is not considering such a plan. The fitment factor of 2.57 was used equally to all categories of workers for the sole purpose of determining compensation under the new pay structure based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

When asked whether the central government is considering increasing the monthly basic salary of employees after the reinstatement of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief, the minister of Finance responded affirmatively. According to AICPI statistics, the 7th Pay Commission would boost Dearness Allowance by 3% in june 2021. If this occurs, the overall DA will rise to 31%. Employees at the central office are now getting 17% DA. It was, however, hiked to 28 percent on July 1st. This dearness allowance will be included in the september pay. In january 2020, DA was increased by 4%, then by 3% in june 2020, and again by 4% in january 2021.

The government has ordered that Central workers' Dearness Allowance (Dearness) be increased from 7% to 28%. Since July 1, the HRA has also needed to be updated. The government has also directed that Central workers' house Rent Allowance be increased.
