Not Chessy Enough..! pizza to get costlier..!?

Haryana has been ordered by the Judicial Appeals Authority (AAAR) to make a new change in the GST tax on pizza, one of the most popular western foods in India. The new order, which seeks to change the GST tax on pizza, has come as a shock to pizza lovers. The announcement has left many leading pizza brands confused about how to tax. There is confusion, especially in calculating the tax difference between hotel or restaurant and online delivery service providers.
There are several taxes on pizza in India, all of which vary based on how the pizza is cooked and sold. For example, if you buy pizza at a restaurant and eat it there is a 5 percent GST tax, 12 percent GST on the pizza base, and 18 percent GST on home delivery of the same pizza.In this case, an order issued by the haryana Judicial Appellate Authority (AAAR) on march 10 imposes the same tax on all pizza toppings and cheese toppings. But in fact, pizza topping has been ordered to be stretched to a maximum of 18 percent as it contains many ingredients.
