IRCTC: Even after charting, you can cancel the ticket!!!

Recently irctc shared a video on its social media handle. In this video, it was told that passengers can get a refund by canceling the tickets without traveling or partially traveling. To take advantage of this, you have to submit the Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR) as per the rules of the Railways.
How to file TDR online
Go to the authorized website of IRCTC.

*Next, click on My Account which appears on the irctc home page.
* Now go to the drop-down menu and click on My transaction.
*Now you can TDR the file by choosing one of the options in the File TDR option.
*Now you will be able to see the information of the person in whose name the ticket is booked.
*Now you fill the PNR number, train number, and captcha and tick the cancellation rules.
*Now you can proceed with the application process by pressing the submit button.
*You will receive an OTP to the registered number.
*Now after entering the OTP, press the submit button.
*Verify the PNR details and click on the Cancel ticket option.
*Now you will see the refund amount message on the page.
On the number given on the booking form, you will get a confirmation message containing complete details of PNR and the refund amount.
