Director lokesh kanagaraj scored a blockbuster with the karthi starrer Kaithi bankrolled by Dream warrior pictures and the movie was released on october 25 as Deepavali festival release.
Kaithi received unanimously positive and overwhelming reviews and it has been said that the movie has grossed above 80 crores and even tollywood superstar mahesh babu praised the movie.
Karthi's madras director Pa Ranjith has praised Kaithi and appreciated lokesh Kanagaraj's gripping screenplay and execution, Karthi's realistic acting, sathyan Sooriyan's awesome cinematography, and remaining cast and gutsy producer, SR Prabhu. Actor karthi had last delivered the romantic entertainer Dev, and his next movie Kaithi helmed by Maanagaram fame lokesh kanagaraj was wrapped before few days and he was seen with his next by jeethu joseph of papanasam fame. This family thriller is set in goa and will feature jyothika and karthi as siblings, with veteran actor sathyaraj touted to be playing their father. Actor Anson Paul of Remo and 90 ml will be seen in a grey shaded character while Ratsasan fame Ammu abhirami also acts in the movie.
